Fundación Gonzalo Aponte (FGA) is a registered domestic non-profit organization based in Puerto Rico.
Founded in 1972 by its namesake, Gonzalo Aponte, FGA envisions a bright future for Puerto Rico, where every resident has the opportunity to thrive through access to quality education, compassionate community care, and the resources to turn their dreams into reality.
By advancing education, sponsoring the arts, and providing essential support to grass-roots organizations, we pledge to continue our family’s mission of love and commitment to the individuals, communities, and ecosystems of Puerto Rico.
FGA Scholarship Fund
Established in 2001 in partnership with Fundación Comunitaria de Puerto Rico, the FGA Scholarship Fund is a beacon of hope for students in Puerto Rico who are facing financial constraints, enabling them to pursue undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral studies in competitive academic fields.
Eligibility is determined through our open application process managed by FCPR. Click below for details and updates.
Community-Driven Education & Enrichment
We sponsor a number of volunteer-run schools and community centers who dedicate themselves to educating, feeding, and caring for children and families residing in underserved regions of Puerto Rico.

We help organizations in Puerto Rico provide shelter, compassionate care, and vital resources to the island's most vulnerable populations, including a range of preventive initiatives geared towards delivering comprehensive psychotherapy and educational support to at-risk youth and their families in Puerto Rico.
